MDAs Get Set for Work program (Get on Track) is still in need of a further THREE young participants in time for the accredited hospitality training taste-tester (Cert II) component of our program commencing on Monday 28th March thats little over a week away!
The sooner participants start in the program, the better prepared they will be for the upcoming training.
So if you know of any young people from a refugee or migrant background who might benefit from a program that focuses on employment, training, life-skills, civic education, other positive (and fun!) activities, with the final goal of obtaining full time employment or training at the end of it all, then please contact Damian West (Program Coordinator) as soon as possible (Phone 0423 561 250 or (07) 3337 5400).
In order to be eligible for the program, young people must:
Have arrived in Australia as a refugee or migrant;
Be between 15 and 19 years of age inclusive;
Not be currently engaged in study, employment or training;
Live in a suburb on Brisbanes Southside;
Be willing to commit to 6 weeks of accredited hospitality training and be motivated to seek employment and/or further training.
Thanks so much for your ongoing support!
