About BARC!

What is BARC!?

BARC! is a website, not an organisation. This website is a collaboration tool, available to all groups and individuals who are concerned about, advocating for, or working with, refugees and asylum seekers in the Brisbane region, including South East QLD and Northern NSW.

Organisations can use BARC! to promote events, seek help, share resources and share information. Concerned individuals can use BARC! to find out about coming events, places to volunteer, other opportunities to help, and to learn more about the situation of refugees and asylum seekers in Australia.

For full details of the BARC! project and why it was set up, download the BARC! project overview (in Rich Text format).

Non English Languages

In this first stage of the BARC! project there is no provision for development of the site in non English languages. However, we hope to be able to provide the site in a number of languages at some future stage.

BARC will not publish materials that the project worker considers to be defamatory or which promote violence. Whilst BARC does not condone violence or illegal activities it is not responsible for the conduct of the events advertised. BARC publishes content based on information provided by other organisations.
